It was a cold and foggy day in the city and we were craving something hot. Went here over the weekend on Sunday around 3:20pm and there was no wait! I wasn't too surprised about there being no wait because of the music festival happening nearby. Anyways! We sat at the table furthest from the door because of how cold it was outside. At this restaurant, you order at the counter and they'll ask you if you want it "for here" or "to go." Now, I've ordered a meal for "to go" here before, but this time it was nice dining inside AND the experience was better too! We ordered the Chicken Katsu Sandwich Combo with Brown Sugar Milk Tea Boba and also the Shrimp & Vegetables Tempura Bento. Both meals came with complimentary tea and a bowl of miso soup too; that was a nice surprise! I totally wasn't expecting any of that so that made me happy. I liked how hot and crispy my popcorn chicken was and the sandwich is a good portion size. The bento box meal was cool too and I feel it would be a good place to satisfy my future bento box cravings. I'd recommend this place! This restaurant is very small with vibrant colors inside so the restaurant can feel a bit crowded. One highlight from my experience was the great customer service! Haha they noticed we were taking pictures of the food so they gave us a sauce bowl to make it look better! Most importantly, all of the food tasted good and I love a place with variety.

I had a craving for chicken katsu, and took my partner to this place in SF. Here is our experience: Service: The lady who helped us was so kind! She made suggestions about the menu items, started a conversation about how we were doing, and was attentive with making sure everything was going well. It was like being over at a family's home, which made the place feel welcoming and friendly. Price: For all the food, the price is affordable and well worth it! For everything (2 chicken katsu sandwiches, two California hand rolls, and two Thai teas), the cost was ~$37. Of course, there were a couple of promotions, so please ask what promotions are for the day! Food: Everything felt so fresh and tasted like home food. The chicken katsu was juicy, and felt as if my own mom made the food! The hand rolls were delicious as well. And the PORTIONS! Let me tell you, they are not stingy. What makes this special is that my partner and I left feeling full & content! Drinks: The drinks were decent, but would recommend going here for the food! Overall: 10/10! Food was great, and what makes a special mark in my heart is the service! I will definitely come back here again and recommend you stop by and support this family business!

Ordered a poke bowl (+ hamachi daily special) bento style, unagi bowl and popcorn chicken. Everything was amazing! They also included a daily special of miso soup and salmon skins. The customer service was warm and inviting. All around great experience. I had my dog with me in the car and she offered to bring my order out to me which was very thoughtful. There was adequate seating inside as well. Overall inviting vibe and a clearly appreciated family run business. I will definitely be coming here again.

This was my first time at Yoma cafe. I needed something quick and easy for dinner. Yoyo greeted me when I walked in and was so sweet! The menu had a wide variety of items to choose from. I got the California roll and shrimp tempura roll. Both were fresh and fantastic. Would definitely stop by again! This is a very low key, chill spot that serves up some fresh and delicious food!

My friend was craving early sushi and this spot was open at 10am. Super friendly staff welcomed us as we walked in and placed our order. Excellent portions and pricing for a tiny neighborhood restaurant.

It's been so long since I've had popcorn chicken, I actually forgot how delicious it taste!! Most places put MSG in their popcorn chicken recipe and sadly, I am highly allergic to mono sodium glucose! Being part Japanese/Hapa and being allergic to MSG really has its challenges!! I was thrilled to find out at this particular location. They did not put MSG in their chicken, and I was also able to get some sushi rolls without soy sauce, which also contains MSG. The lady behind the counter made a special roll for me similar to their sandwich, without the tuna and put popcorn chicken inside it for me. I was really excited to have the giant spam musubi like roll as a sandwich with popcorn chicken!! I loved it so much. I actually went back a week later and got an order of popcorn, chicken, the meal, as well as the BOGO and got two hand rolls of tuna and spicy tuna, the BOGO, there was pretty decent and for a good price as well as it being Bogo!! My boyfriend loves the spicy beef noodle soup down the street, so I'm pretty sure will be coming back to these two places weekly!! I'm very excited to have found this spot! They also have a discount card!!

Thanks to Annie W. for introducing this restaurant to me after a recent museum outing. And I tried it once again days ago via delivery. The food is good and they give generous portions. On our recent delivery, my husband and I enjoyed Chicken Teriyaki Bento with sauce on the side. We also enjoyed the wakame that came with the Bento. Delicious. The small popcorn chicken hits the spot for my fried food cravings and it isn't overly salty which I appreciate. We also enjoyed California rolls and some veggie tempura. I also got a generous pour of carbonated fruit punch. The restaurant is located on Irving between 16th & 17th Ave, and it's a small cozy space. The owner/staff seem very gracious.

Absolutely love the vibes at this cafe! My group of 6 was originally planning to go to game parkour nearby on a rainy Saturday afternoon, not realizing it would be so busy. We walked down the street in search of some snacks and one of my friends walked into Yoma thinking it looked cute. Popcorn chicken is delicious here!! Highly recommend. I also got a matcha latte and it was perfect on a cold day. We were only going to grab some food until we spotted a small selection of games under the counter. All older, less mind intensive games, which was exactly the pace we needed. We ended up drinking tea and playing Life for a couple hours with great Dua Lipa jams in the background. The owners/staff there are super nice creating a cozy environment. Definitely planning to go back again for a relaxing afternoon.
